About Beka
What does Beka do?
Five principal sources form the basis of our business:
- Western Red Cedar from Canada (British Columbia)
- Siberian Larch from Russia
- Bangkirai, Asian Cedar and Meranti from South East Asia
- Internal Pine door and window frames from Scandinavia
- Massaranduba, Itauba and Garapa from South America
It can be seen at once that, apart from the internal door and window frames, we are especially concerned with types of timber that are extremely durable and are therefore suitable for external applications.
Certified timber has also found its way to Gramsbergen and wherever possible we involve ourselves in the acquisition and supply of timber with a verification mark. Beka Houtprodukten is conscious of the importance of forests and their conservation for our society. Enduring forest management is a guarantee for the future and a “must” for humanity.
More than just timber
Besides the sale of products that are supplied ready-made, Beka Houtprodukten has its own production facility in Gramsbergen. This means that we dry, cut, plane and fashion timber here according to the demands and requirements of our customers.

Quality control
We regularly visit suppliers and sawmills ourselves to check the quality and quantity of our products. In the countries of origin, at various production locations, the inspection is carried out by our own inspectors.
On the basis of specified requirements and our inspection of them, our sales department makes contact with customers at home and abroad; questions are answered, specified requirements compared and orders concluded. Our client base is spread throughout several countries.
